Nick and Kristen are a married morning radio show from Vancouver, Washington on 99.5 The Wolf. This holiday season, they are trying to ERASE THE MEDICAL DEBT FOR THE ENTIRE PACIFIC NORTHWEST!
They've partnered with RIP Medical Debt to raise $10,000 towards eliminating $1 million dollars in medical debt.
Kristen says, "This cause is personal to us. In 2018, I was pregnant with our daughter Lilly. Because of complications from the pregnancy, I was hospitalized at 24-weeks to save my life and Lilly’s. I stayed there until I was able to give birth safely at 34-weeks pregnant. Since I was in the hospital such a long time, I received a bill for over $250,000. As a new mom with a brand new baby, this was the worst letter I could have received. I had a full-time job with insurance and even with that I was thinking of bankruptcy. My insurance ran the numbers again and gave me a new bill for over $90,000.00. It took me almost 2-years to prove that the hospital stay during my pregnancy was medically necessary. After all that, I still owed over $3,000.00.
